Learn about the benefits and limitations of a variety of tools for facilitating collaboration and for coordinating your research projects.

This workshop will provide an overview of tools available to UCR researchers for remote collaboration and project management. Join us to learn about the benefits and limitations of a variety of tools for facilitating collaboration and for coordinating your research projects: <ul><li>Real-time document and database collaboration (Google apps, Airtable)</li><li>Task and project trackers (Trello, Basecamp)</li><li>File-sharing and version control (OSF, GitHub, Google Drive)</li><li>Citation management (Zotero Groups)</li><li>Cloud-based programming and dependency management (RStudio Cloud, Jupyter Notebooks, Binder, Renku). </li></ul>We will also share some best practices related to communication and documentation of your research while we continue to work remotely.All UCR community members are welcome to attend. Make sure to register with your UCR email. Zoom link will be emailed to registered participants one hour before the workshop starts. Participants are expected to follow and uphold <a href="https://chancellor.ucr.edu/sites/g/files/rcwecm761/files/2019-01/community.pdf" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">UC Riverside&#x27;s Principles of Community</a>.
