Cold Waves LA Showcase

Cold Waves is a Chicago-based dark music festival originating in 2012. Over the years Cold Waves has expanded to include events in Los Angeles and New York, with Chicago's multi-day festival every September as the hub. Cold Waves presents classic-era industrial, goth and darkwave artists along with innovative newcomers, keeping Rivet Head Culture alive and well! Cold Waves events raise money for the mental-health awareness and support charity "Darkest Before Dawn" which focuses on the service industry community.

The Mayan

Cold Waves annual fall soiree in DTLA takes place October 13 at the gorgeous Mayan Theater, featuring a stellar lineup of dark electronic synthpop, goth, industrial and more, focusing on keeping things HOTT.This years lineup will feature a cathartic performance from headliner <a href="https://iamxmusic.com/" title="https://iamxmusic.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">IAMX</a>, the first west coast appearance in 20 years from Germany's <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiaLIqHOsb8" title="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiaLIqHOsb8" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BEBORN BETON</a>, a rare return for Swedish synth darlings <a href="https://www.daisrecords.com/collections/kite" title="https://www.daisrecords.com/collections/kite" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">KITE</a> (recently signed to Dais) and the always-scorching <a href="https://patriarchy.bandcamp.com/" title="https://patriarchy.bandcamp.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PATRIARCHY</a>. We also welcome <a href="https://housesofheaven.bandcamp.com/music" title="https://housesofheaven.bandcamp.com/music" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">HOUSES OF HEAVEN</a>, in support of a gorgeous new album, Portlands ferocious electro duo <a href="https://puertanegramusica.bandcamp.com/album/playa-sola" title="https://puertanegramusica.bandcamp.com/album/playa-sola" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">PUERTA NEGRA</a>, and the formidable, hypnotic vocal stylings of <a href="https://www.facebook.com/BOANACID/" title="https://www.facebook.com/BOANACID/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MS BOAN</a>. The party goes from doors to lights out at Stage Left with our darkling selectors <a href="https://dasbunker.org/" title="https://dasbunker.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">REV.JOHN</a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/baby_magick/" title="https://www.instagram.com/baby_magick/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">BABY MAGICK</a> on the decks.The Cold Waves LA Showcase is strictly 21+.
