Join us for our monthly coding series, Coding & Cocktails. Women are invited to attend sessions to get an introduction to website building.

Just like you can elevate your with top shelf liquor, you can elevate your website with React!
Join Coding & Cocktails for a women-only night of tech as we stir up the basics of React, one of the most popular JavaScript libraries for building sleek, dynamic web apps. Whether you're a coding newbie or looking to refresh your front-end skills, we've got the perfect blend of hands-on learning and happy hour vibes.

The Menu: A Flight of React Fundamentals

  • JSX & Components – The base spirit of React, crafting reusable elements
  • State & Props – The mixers that keep your data flowing
  • Event Handling – Add some fizz with interactivity
  • useEffect & Fetching Data – A smooth twist of async functionality
  • Component Styling – Garnish your app with visual flair
  • React Best Practices – The finishing touch for clean, maintainable code

On the Side:

  • Friendly mentors ready to help you shake things up
  • A supportive, inclusive space for women and gender-diverse folks
  • Drinks, pizza, and connections with fellow tech enthusiasts

There will be lots of guidance and support for those with no coding experience so come join the fun!

No coding experience necessary (we mean that!)

Wifi-enabled laptop is required. Don't have one? Request to borrow one of ours when you sign up. (Sorry, Chromebooks are not supported.)

Must be at least 21 to attend

Cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages, and dinner served
