CodeCrew Hackathon is a THREE-DAY event and the finale of our exciting summer of code!

This unique THREE-DAY event provides an opportunity for youth to show off their mobile app development skills and work on a real-world project to benefit our community. <ul><li>Day 1: Kick-Off Thursday, August 3rd from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.</li><li>D﻿ay 2: Friday, August 4th from 9:00AM - 5:00PM</li><li>D﻿ay 3: Saturday, August 5th from 9:00AM - 4:00PM</li></ul>The event is open to all current and former CodeCrew participants and any other interested students in grades 5th - 12th.Students will be placed into teams and challenged to use computer science skills to solve a local community issue. Hackathon participants will work all day Friday and will return on Saturday, to complete their apps. They will be supported by CodeCrew staff and volunteers from the Memphis tech community.To keep everyone excited, focused, and motivated, CodeCrew is leaning on a fantastic support team and special guests. On Saturday, participants will make presentations to a distinguished panel of judges and guests. Teams will compete for third, second, and first-place prizes! In addition, winners will have an opportunity to gain guidance and support to submit their creations to the Congressional App Challenge.CodeCrew is a <a href="http://neverstop.co/skyhigh/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Start Co Sky High</a> initiative co-founded by Meka Egwuekwe, Petya Grady, and Audrey Willis. CodeCrew works everyday to bring diversity and inclusion to computing through education, exposure, and advocacy. Support our mission today!
