CODEcamp - Introduction to Web Development, Fall 2018

The Beaufort Digital Corridor is a creative effort to attract, nurture and promote Beaufort's technology entrepreneurs through a combination of technology-enabled initiatives and business incentives, private business support and member-driven programming.

Beaufort Digital Corridor

CODEcamp is a continuing tech education program offered by the Beaufort Digital Corridor. The course is designed for busy adults exploring a potential new career in the software industry or working professionals seeking a career change. Students learn the fundamentals of web development (HTML, CSS & JavaScript) in a hands-on, in-classroom environment. This CODEcamp class:

<LI>Introduces coding & web development in a convenient and affordable Saturday format </LI>
<LI>Helps uncover a passion and potential career in the high-wage, high-demand tech industry</LI>
<LI>Features a balance of lecture & lab with students writing code from the very first class</LI>
</UL>
Dates: October 20 - December 15, 2018  Time: 1:00pm – 3:30pm for eight Saturday classes (no class on Nov. 24) This class is BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop)

<LI>Utilize your newly acquired HTML/CSS skills by creating a High School Yearbook Page</LI>
<LI>Dig deeper into your knowledge of styles by creating an iFiveK Advertisement</LI>
<LI>Get creative with CSS transformations while you build a Baseball Field using only HTML/CSS</LI>
<LI>Get acquainted with HTML forms while creating an Event Registration Form</LI>
<LI>Learn the basics of JavaScript through building a Basic Calculator</LI>
<LI>Learn about JavaScript event handlers and practice HTML/CSS skills making a Color Chooser</LI>
<LI>Bring it all together to create a Daily Water Meter to track your daily water consumption</LI>
