About this event
Our hackathon will give women with coding knowledge a chance to compete on a team to solve coding challenges. Groups will come together and get a chance to showcase their skills and have a chance to gain more experience and ability through working with others! Technology beginners welcome!

Each team should have a maximum of five people, can't wait to see you there!

Q: Sounds so cool! I am very interested in exploring technology but I have zero coding experience. Can I still join?
A: There could be a challenge that will ask hackers to come up with a creative technology-based solution for a certain industry/community or niche. Factors in judging rubric can include technical complexity, creativity, originality, robustness, and "meeting the challenge". For technical complexity, here's an example. You can say that in order to scale your solution you will need a database to store your data. You might show how that data will need to be stored. You might start off a low-code solution for it.
Q: What is the schedule for the day? I might not be able to attend the entire day but I was wondering if I would be able to come for a few hours...
A: We are so excited that you are interested in attending the event! The coding challenge will be presented at 10am sharp and submissions are due at 7pm sharp. Email hello@codekevudah.org more details about the agenda. If you can't join for the entire coding time, you may consider getting an Expo Pass to hear the keynote speech by Judge Ruchie Freier(12:30 PM); get inspired from panel of women in tech roles at Google, American Express, Trigoo, and Flatiron Health (1:15 PM); and network with like-minded women in tech(2 - 5 PM).
Q: Do I need to come with a group or will the groups be assigned there?
A: You can definitely come with a group, but if you don't have one we've got you covered! Anyone who signs up without a group will be assigned to one.
