Code for Compassion Hackathon

By Electric Sheep

Overview

Cofe for Compassion Hackathon hosted by Electric Sheep and Open Paws comes to Berlin! With prize funding of $3000 for winning teams.

Code for Compassion is the flagship international hackathon series hosted by Electric Sheep and Open Paws. Since it's inception earlier this year, there have been major hackathons in Bay Area, London, and Mumbai.

It’s been incredible to see technologists, animal advocates, and curious builders come together to ideate and prototype new tools for animal protection - 340 coders have built more than 30 prototypes thus far through these events in areas such as advocacy, testing/marketing and organizational development - and so accelerate solutions to major problems for professionals in the impact community.

Due to the success of previous hackathons, the generosity of our partners and the interest around the event, we're now able to offer USD 3000 in prize funding to the teams that deliver the most impactful and innovative project on the day. This will comprise $2000 for the winning team in funding to continue their work building their AI for animal advocacy intervention and $500 to the runner ups.

Please note: Only teams with at least one member in the room will be eligible to receive the prize. We have limited funds available for travel bursaries and these are reviewed on a rolling basis - please register at the earliest and indicate in the form if you require funding for travel.
