Ready to create instead of just play? Join our beginner coding workshop for grades 6–8 and discover the power of programming!
Have you ever wondered how video games, apps, and websites are made? Join us for an exciting Introduction to Coding Workshop designed just for students in grades 6–8! Through hands-on activities and beginner-friendly challenges, participants will learn the basics of coding while creating their own interactive projects. No experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and creativity!
Participants will learn the fundamentals of computer processing, app design concepts, and gain experience with basic coding concepts. They will also explore how apps are laid out on a user platform and gain experience designing and coding a basic app.
This three day camp is August 3, 4 and 6 from 10am-12pm at the Currituck County Extension Center, 120 Community Way, Barco NC 27917. There is no charge for this program and all supplies and materials will be provided. All participants must be enrolled in NC 4-H for the 2026 program year. 4-HOnline.
