Goddard Riverside Community Arts

Composers Concordance presents 'Coco Loco', an evening of contemporary music inspired by Latin jazz and salsa, at Goddard Riverside - Bernie Wohl Center, located on Manhattan's Upper West Side in New York City. CompCord Ensemble will be joined by La Banda Ramirez, a Harlem-based group that performs music reflecting Latino heritage, including the African diaspora in the Caribbean and in New York City. Together they will perform new and recent compositions by Dan Cooper, Jane Getter, David Gotay, Peter Jarvis, Carlos José Castro Mora, Joseph Pehrson, Gene Pritsker, and Raul Quines. CompCord Ensemble will include Yuko Naito - violin, Christine Kim - cello, Larry Goldman - bass, Max Pollak - tap dance/body percussion, Gene Pritsker - guitar. La Banda Ramirez will feature Carolyn Steinberg - flute, Chacho Ramirez - drums, Jack Glottman - keyboard, Ratzo Harris - bass, Randy Sosa - congas.
