Description

Dear colleague,

Please save the date for our cocktail reception on “Strong urban governance for liveable cities”, which will take place on Wednesday 25 January 2017, 17.45-19.30 at the Hotel Leopold (35 rue du Luxembourg, Brussels).

This networking event will discuss the rise of new urban governance models, with a focus on national-local relations in the development of policies and measures: whether it is for fuel prices, congestion charges or air quality, the role of the urban level is changing. Cities take on and develop new capacity in order to respond to their local challenges. You will hear about examples from and by cities across Europe that are empowering themselves by developing new policies, technologies, and self-monitoring. These will reflect key learnings from the CREATE project (http://www.create-mobility.eu/), which aims at reducing road congestion in Europe and also focuses on strategies linked to sustainability, public space, new technologies and citizens.

Please see the agenda below and register by 23 January 2017 latest.

We hope to see many of you on 25 January!
