CNC BASICS - An Introduction To VCarve!

During this class, attendees will explore the exciting possibilities of woodworking with the use of a computerized CNC machine. The class is structured around the Rockler/Next Wave Shark CNC machine. Please download the free trial VCarve software from Vectric.com on to your laptop and bring that with you to the class. You will be utilizing that software during the class. This lecture will help you decide which CNC is right for you. We will take you through setup and programming for some woodworking projects and demonstrate how the tool can benefit you in your shop. This is a great course for those interested in purchasing their first CNC machine. If you are on the fence about investing in a CNC machine. If you have questions on setting it up and using the software, this class is a must. We show you how to create a simple project using V-Carve software, tool path planning and setting up the machine.
