CMWR 2024

All participants must be registered and are urged to register in advance to get lower rates.

The registration fees include:

• All the conference sessions.
• Conference kit including the official conference material.
• Morning/Afternoon breaks and lunches during the conference.
• Opening reception on Monday and banquet dinner on Wednesday.
• [Optional] Biosphere 2 Guided Behind-the-Scenes Tour.

* Student registrants are required to send proof of their student status (student ID card or certificate letter from their institution) to cmwr2024@arizona.edu before registration. Otherwise, the student registration may be canceled and a full registration will be required.

For authors:

For each abstract accepted for CMWR 2024, at least one of the authors needs to be registered, with the commitment to present at the conference. Abstracts without registered author(s) will be withdrawn from the program and the book of abstracts. The deadline for author registration is June 29, 2024 (early-bird rate), July 29, 2024 (regular rate), September 7, 2024 (late rate).

For students:

Student fees are applicable only to full-time students. Student registrants must provide proof of their student status (valid student ID card or certification letter from their institution).

Biosphere 2 Guided Behind-the-Scenes Tour:

Biosphere 2 is the world’s largest controlled environment dedicated to understanding the impacts of climate change. The Biosphere 2 Guided Behind-the-Scenes Tour will take you through the human habitat and the wilderness biomes, where you will learn about the facility’s remarkable 30-year history and world-class research. You will then have the opportunity to travel to exclusive areas such as the Library Tower, the Lowland of the Rainforest, the Beach and/or the Technosphere and Lung, which are normally not open to regular visitors, for a truly memorable experience as you get up close to some of our current research initiatives. Due to the presence of stairs and steep terrain, this tour is not suitable for those with mobility concerns.

The fees for the Biosphere 2 Behind-the-Scenes Tour include:

• The entrance ticket.
• The unique experience of a guided tour through Biosphere 2.

Note: The expenses for the round-trip bus transportation are covered by the University of Arizona. The Biosphere tour has limited availability and will be canceled if less than 10 people sign up.

Payment methods:

The recommended payment methods are by credit card, debit card, or PayPal. We accept Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard, and AMEX. The online registration system uses secure encryption to protect your card and personal information. Please note that for secure online payments, your bank may ask you for personal information or a security code that you will receive by phone or email.

Confirmation of payment will be sent upon receipt of full payment. Invoice will be sent by email a few days after payment. For any questions, please contact cmwr2024@arizona.edu.

Refund policy:

All cancellations must be notified by sending emails to cmwr2024@arizona.edu. The following conditions will be applied:

1. If a registrant is unable to attend an event for any reason, he or she may, in consultation with the conference organizers, substitute someone else who can present.

2. If the registrant is unable to attend and cannot transfer his/her place to another person, the following refund policy will apply:

• Registrations canceled by August 30, 2024 will receive a 75% refund of the registration fee.
• Registrations canceled between August 31, 2024 and September 15, 2024 will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee.
• Registrations canceled after September 16, 2024 will not be refunded.

3. Refunds are processed within 10-15 business days after the conference ends.

Liability:

By paying the registration fee, the participant acknowledges that he/she has no claim against the conference organizers in the event that the conference is changed, hindered or prevented by unexpected political or economic events, unforeseeable natural disasters, cancellation of speakers or other unforeseeable events.

Insurance:

The organizers are not responsible for individual medical, travel, or personal insurance. Delegates are strongly advised to obtain their own travel insurance policies to cover risks including (but not limited to) loss, cancellation, medical expenses, and injury. CMWR 2024 and/or the conference organizers accept no responsibility for delegates’ failure to obtain adequate insurance.
