Attention all project managers, researchers, software developers, operators, architects and infrastructure providers involved in building and operating Virtual Laboratories and associated research software infrastructure. You are invited to two workshops to share experiences and coordinate activity within and across projects.

  1. Virtual Laboratory research software infrastructure workshop:29-30 Nov 2016 (10am Tues –3pm Wed)
  2. Cloud Software Developer Roundtable 1 December 2016 10am Thursday - 4pm Thursday.

Aims

The workshop provides an opportunity for Research Cloud software developers to:

  • Share knowledge and demonstrate emerging technologies and techniques for deploying research software on the cloud
  • Identify challenges for software engineers deploying research software infrastructure.

The roundtable will be run primarily as an unconfenernce. to enable the community to identify and prioritise key issues for discussion.

 

Who should attend?

Open to anyone developing and deploying research software infrastructure on Nectar’s Research Cloud: Software Developers, Cloud DevOps, Virtual Machine System Administrators etc.  



NeCTAR is supported by the Australian Government through the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy to establish eResearch infrastructure in partnership with Australian research institutions, organisations and research communities. The University of Melbourne has been appointed as the Lead Agent.
