Party with fellow TBEX attendees at Harriet Island Regional Park on the banks of the Mississippi River in the shadows of the Saint Paul skyline for an evening of fun, food trucks and fresh suds!
Saint Paul is the capital city of the headwaters state of the iconic Mississippi River. The city is located in the Mississippi National River & Recreation Area (MNRRA) – a national park. One of the many parks in the National Park Service system that celebrates its centennial in 2016.
Enjoy local beers brewed in Saint Paul paired with delicious creations from our growing food truck scene – and of course birthday cake!! Rock out to the local sounds of the White Iron Band and their hit “Minnesota Song,” as well as popular Minnesota outdoor games like Corn Hole as well as Jenga, Chess and Checkers. The party takes place at Wigington Pavillion on Harriet Island–named after Harriet Bishop the first public school teacher in the state of Minnesota and Clarence Wigington, the nation’s first African-American municipal architect.
Interact with representatives of some of Saint Paul’s biggest and best attractions learning about our connection with the river, our flourishing theatre scene, our gangster past and the craft beer craze. Take your photo with your toes in the mighty Mississippi or enjoy short paddle wheeler cruises on the river with Padelford River Boats (8:15pm and 9:00pm) so you can experience the power and majesty of the Mississippi river first hand.
Enjoy a menu of deliciousness from the food trucks Fork in the Road, Funfare Global Street Eats, Nate Dog's, Potter's Pasties, R. A. MacSammy's, Tiki Tim's & Whole Sum Kitchen.
