Closed-Loop Cooking is the real, imperfect documentation of our transition into a low impact lifestyle, focusing on reducing food waste and single use kitchen items.This is an accessible space, here to break down barriers around living and eating sustainably for anyone who eats.Seasonally focused and plant-based recipes minimize waste and offer so much variety for endless meal combinations and scraps that are easier to compost.Let’s have a meal, let’s close the loop.Hawnuh Lee is founder and designer of Closed-Loop Cooking. She’s also anillustrator / animator/comic artist/ scrappy home chef based in Portland, OR and has been rewashing plastic sandwich bags for as long as she could reach the sink. She believes in well built systems and the power of accessible educational materials.Kaitlyn Chock is the sous chef and chief taste-tester at Closed-Loop Cooking. She is also an event planner, marketer, yoga instructor, aerialist and nutritionist to-be. She loves complicating recipes and making things from scratch. And when she's not in the kitchen, you'll probably catch her pinning recipe ideas.

This intimate, plant-based dinner will showcase a menu of unconventional, locally-sourced ingredients. You can look forward to seasonally-focused dishes incorporating ingredients that might otherwise be wasted. Scrap Supper is a low impact event – all produce and materials are sustainably sourced and will be thoughtfully repurposed or composted after the event.
We’re excited to include special guest, Chloé Lepeltier, who runs the sustainable lifestyle blog, <A HREF="https://consciousbychloe.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Conscious by Chloé</A>. She focuses on zero waste, slow living, and ethical fashion and leads <A HREF="https://www.facebook.com/zerowastepdx" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Zero Waste PDX</A>, an important zero waste city guide for anyone in the Portland area. Chloé will share her approach to a low impact lifestyle and offer resources we can all take action on.

Your $75 ticket price includes a multi-course menu with cocktail pairings and dessert. This event will be 100% vegan with gluten-free options included. Please note that the menu will include nuts. Let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies in advance of the meal.
