About this event

Kick up your heels and learn the energetic, percussive footwork of Appalachian clogging! Influenced by European immigrants and incorporating elements from Native American and African American dance, clogging is truly a hodgepodge of culture. Kelsey invokes a modern twist to this living folk dance by combining unique steps to upbeat, modern music.

This class is suitable for beginner and intermediate teens and adults. Clogging shoes are not necessary – clean sneakers that allow turning and spinning are fine.

This class is part of a series, however drop-ins are always welcome!

Frequently asked questions

Do I need dance experience?

No experience necessary! We'll break things down so anybody can join.

What do I wear?

Wear clothing that is comfortable to move and dance in. Clogging shoes are not necessary for this class. If you have clogging shoes or tap shoes, please bring them! Otherwise, you can wear clean sneakers that allow turning and twisting.

I just want to take a single class and not the series. Is that okay?

Absolutely. This class is part of 6-week series, but single-day drop-ins are also welcome! Come check out one class and then decide if you want to join us for more.

Where do I park?

There is free street parking in the neighborhood surrounding the studio.
