We hope to build a diverse community of people interested in solving Climate Change related problems through innovation. Session 2 will focus on decarbonizing Cambridge built environment. Depending on interest we could form a team or two for <a href="https://mitenergyhack.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">MIT Energy Hack</a> (Theme - Decarbonize the Built Environment) on Nov 11-13th. D﻿uring the first session, members came up with four different solutions to eliminate disposable food/takeout containers from Cambridge ecosystem. One of those solutions was a valid startup idea that could&#x27;ve taken shape with four interested members, who were open to new ideas. First session wasn&#x27;t perfect, but we could try that in this session :) After all, Cambridge houses are a prime target for decarbonization - old and inefficient appliances, under renovation, money savvy home owners etc. Probably, the best ecosystem to test and learn! Here&#x27;s the current approach:<ul><li>Foster peer-to-peer learning with content from diverse sources</li><li>Organize discussion roundtables with parallel thinking principles</li><li>Enable authentic connections in an empathetic environment</li></ul>Target audience: Engineers, Scientists, Entrepreneurs, Conservationists, Policy advocates, Students, Artists, and Misfits. No prior knowledge required. B﻿ackground material would be shared with registered participants and brainstorming session is conducted using six thinking hats method. Roundtables are currently organized in-person only. Participation is limited to about 20 members per session.
