About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

Join us for a Climate Café, a facilitated space to come together and discuss feelings, fears, and hopes relating to climate change. This event is capped at 10 participants and offers a thoughtful and flexible structure where participants can share personal responses to ecological and related systemic concerns. In this setting, we can together hold what is too much to carry alone.

eric bjorlin (he/him) is a psychotherapist who offers these Cafés as a form of support and solidarity as we all work toward a better future. This is not psychotherapy, but a form of community gathering that recognizes the unique experiences of each participant, and fosters new forms of connection.

The event is pay-what-you-like, with a suggested scale of $10-20. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. The first $7 of each ticket goes toward a facilitator stipend, and any additional proceeds will benefit the Southeast Environmental Task Force, who organize for environmental justice in the Calumet Region, an area that has been disproportionately impacted by polluting industries and also holds huge potential for greener, healthier futures.
