Children with velopharyngeal dysfunction present challenges for speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in all settings. This seminar is designed to provide current theoretical information as well as practical hands-on experience for treating patients with velopharyngeal dysfunction (VPD).

The first day of the conference will be theory and clinical-based information conducted in a lecture format. The presenter will provide an overview about the topic of velopharyngeal dysfunction (VPD) focusing on therapy guidelines including evaluation and treatment.

The second day of the conference will be interactive and hands on. Patients and families from our cleft and craniofacial center will be invited to participate in our speech therapy boot camp.
