Speech Therapy Boot Camp Day is a fun and educational one-day event hosted by the Cleft and Craniofacial Center at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. It's designed to focus on improving speech intelligibility and communication skills by targeting accurate oral placement for sound production and eliminating compensatory speech errors. Participants will also be able to interact with other families in a relaxing environment and develop friendships.
* At least one parent must remain at the boot camp throughout the day.
ACTIVITIES
- Our cleft and craniofacial team, speech and language pathologist, and community providers will provide fun and social activities to improve speech intelligibility.
- Parents will be provided with training on ways to stimulate their child’s speech production and will be provided with specific home program recommendations.
- Patients and families can interact with the team, community providers, and other families.
- Patients will be grouped according to age and needs.
COST (an email will be sent to you after registration for payment instructions)
- $25 per family: Pre-registration (before June 29, 2024)
- $40 per family: Late registration (after June 30, 2024)
