This a THREE-SESSION (DAY) workshop. Thurs. May 8th - 1-4pm, we will learn some of basics of sculpting, and then start our sculptures of an animal or a person. The next day, on Friday, May 9th - 2-4pm, we will add some texture to the drying ("leather-texture") clay AND hollow our sculptures out, in preparation for firing. Then, a couple of weeks later, on Friday, May 23rd - 1-3pm, we will paint our fired sculptures. PLEASE bring 2-3 photos of the animal or person you would like to create with clay. Tim is a wonderful local artist with lots of knowledge and experience with clay sculpture.
