Parameters for Clay Open Studio:
• The schedule changes often. Check back often for new dates. If I have a workshop get cancelled, I will open more time slots. As I know my studio work time, I will open more time slots.
•You can purchase your own clay bag from Seattle Pottery Supply, etc. but it MUST be CONE 6 clay. I will need to see the actual label before I fire in my kiln. I can't store your clay at my studio
• Likewise you can purchase your own glazes, but I ONLY fire to cone 6, so I will need to see the label as well.
• There is a difference between Cone 6 and Cone 06. Make sure you only purchase Cone 6 or it will damage my kiln. You will need to schedule an additional studio time to glaze your own work, once it has been bisqued. Please communicate this, so I don't clear glaze it.
• If you want to use red cone 6 clay, please bring your own table cloth and be prepared to wash tools after use.
•Projects need to be able to fit on my kiln shelves, not larger. Ask if you are not sure.
•All projects cannot be thicker than 1/2 inch to avoid kiln-damaging explosions. If they are thicker, I will not fire. Check in with me!
•I am not responsible for any breakage during firing. That is up to the kiln gods and simply the price you pay for working with clay.
