Join Brooklyn-based artists CHIAOZZA in a clay model-making session at their installation, “Charm Harbour” at Maxwell Place Park. Participants are invited to sculpt miniature clay sculptures as a way to explore form, scale, and spatial relationships within a scale model. This activity offers a glimpse into the creative process behind “Charm Harbour,” in which the artists made dozens of tiny clay sculptures to test a range of shape ideas before selecting the forms that were developed into the installation you see in Hoboken.
This event is free to attend. Participants are invited to join for any length of time during the session. RSVP is recommended. Materials are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
