Claude Fluency Intensive: Chat, Cowork, Code & Design
A one-day, hands-on intensive for building practical fluency across the Claude platform.
This workshop is a half-day, in-person intensive session to build fluency across Claude Chat, Cowork, Code, and Design - the four surfaces of the model.
We will spend the day working in Claude, but the skills are highly transferable. The ways we structure context, choose tools, direct AI, and move from conversation to completed work also apply to the way other models work.
Here's how the day will work:
Part 1: Claude Chat and Cowork
- Settings and understanding the access points
- Learning Claude "language"
- Using chat - how and when
- Setting up projects - browser and desktop
- Using scheduled tasks
- Connectorss
- Artifacts
- Slash commands
- Skills
- Basic agents
30-minute break
Water, coffee, and light snacks are included.
Part 2: Claude Code
- Claude Code Access - browser, destop, terminal (how it works)
- Live Artifacts
- Routines
- Claude Browser
- Computer Use
- Tool Use (Figma, Notion)
Part 3: Claude Design
- Build an entire brand design system
- Build a Slide Deck
- Intelligent Designs
- Social Graphics
Who it is for
This is designed for beginner-to-intermediate AI users who have experimented with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or another AI platform. You should be able to find your way around the basics and are eager and ready to move beyond experimentation into more capable, connected ways of working.
We will cover a lot in one day. You will leave with a strong foundation, working examples, and a clear path for continuing to practice and deepen what you learned afterward.
What you need
A paid Claude account is required. Claude's $20-per-month paid plan is sufficient to begin. Usage limits can vary, so if you reach your limit during the intensive and want to continue working, be prepared to upgrade to a higher tier for the month.
Bring your laptop and charger. A separate requirements email with setup instructions will be sent to registered attendees before the event.
Your registration
Admission is $399 and includes the full intensive, water, coffee, and light snacks. Space is limited so everyone can work along and ask questions.
Sending three or more people from one organization is $359 per seat, booked together in one order.
A certificate of completion
Everyone who completes the day receives a certificate recording four contact hours across Claude Chat, Cowork, Code, and Design, and the work built during the session. (Note: it is not issued by Anthropic.)
If your employer is paying, I will provide confirmation of attendance. There is an optional question at checkout for their name and email.

Subject: Approval for a training day — Claude Fluency Intensive, October 21
Hi [Manager],
I'd like to attend the Claude Fluency Intensive on Wednesday, October 21. It's a half-day, hands-on class on the Claude AI platform, run by Angie Carel here in Fort Wayne.
The details:
— Wednesday, October 21, 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. I'd be out for the morning and back after lunch
— $399 per seat, which covers the full session
— Joyce Schlatter Boardroom, Indiana Tech, 1600 E. Washington Blvd.
It's a working session, not a presentation. I'd leave with four things built during the class: a configured Claude Project set up for the work I do, a reusable Skill for a task I repeat, one connected automation, and a finished piece of work. I can bring those back and show the team how they work.
Two things worth flagging. It needs a paid Claude account — the $20/month plan is enough to start, and I may need to upgrade for that one month if I hit usage limits. And registration is through Eventbrite, so it can go on a card, or Angie can invoice us directly if that's easier for accounting. She also has a team rate if anyone else wants to come.
Thanks,
