The gallery chooses to work with artists who make contemporary art with challenging concepts, narratives and research. She is also one half of Uncultured Creatives, a collaborative artist-curator duo established in partnership with Jamie Holman. The work they produce is characterised by the exploration of divided histories, sensitive content and the unification of diverse community participants through shared experiences of culture and class.<a href="https://www.instagram.com/bellabonner/?hl=en" title="https://www.instagram.com/bellabonner/?hl=en" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Bella Bonner-Evans</a> is a London-based curator, advisor and arts journalist, who recently joined the sales team at Stephen Friedman gallery following her position as co-curator and Head of Sales at STUDIO WEST. She is the co-founded of ArtE-at, a not-for-profit networking group established to build community among young art world professionals. Her writing has been published by titles including Artsy, Elephant, Overstandard and Bricks Magazine, and she has been featured in The Art Newspaper as one of ‘nine artists, curators and dealers who beat the industry's stacked odds’, spotlighted by art and culture newsletter, God Save The Scene and interviewed by DAZED among other outlets.'Director and Founder of Guts Gallery, <a href="https://gutsgallery.co.uk/" title="https://gutsgallery.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ell Pennick</a> is one of the youngest gallerists navigating the art world today. As a working-class, queer Northerner with no art background, Pennick's footing in the art world started with their frustrations at the lack of meaningful opportunities for people like them. After being unable to accept a place at a renowned institution due to their financial status, Pennick began to question the wider, social austerity within the arts. They launched Guts to create a fair art-business model (which has "far more importance to them than a piece of paper with a Masters grade on it") and to champion emerging artists. They made it their mission to help artists demand the respect - and ownership - they deserve.' It was founded in 2020 to provide a platform for working-class creatives, to establish a strong community between working-class artists around the region and tackle classism within the arts by improving accessibility, engagement and opportunities.
