Embark on a musical journey with the clarinet! This beginner-friendly class is perfect for 6th–8th graders who are eager to learn an exciting and versatile instrument. Whether you’re new to the clarinet or have a little experience, this class will guide you through the basics of finger placement, breath control, and reading music. You’ll explore fun songs and build confidence as you develop the skills to play in a group setting. By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid foundation to continue your musical adventures!

This class runs for 5 weeks. Registering entitles you to all 5 classes. Classes will be on July 5, 12, 19, 26 and August 2. There will be a small recital on August 2.

What age groups can participate?

Ages 10-14 or have completed 6th-8th grade.

Is previous experience required?

1 year of band recommended.

Just bring your clarinet.

What if I bought tickets but can not attend?

We’re happy to offer a full refund if you cancel at least 7 days before the class. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are not refundable, since we need a minimum of 6 participants to hold the class and can’t always fill last-minute spots.

What happens if I cancel within7 days?

If you need to cancel late, we’ll do our best to offer credit toward a private lesson whenever possible. This helps us keep the class running smoothly and still gives your child a chance to enjoy music in a one-on-one setting!
