NC Open Pass is an event series focused on improving our communities using open innovation and open data with neighbors and government partners. We bring together citizens, government, academia, businesses, and entrepreneurs to develop civic projects and the opportunity to compete for cash prizes.

Join Open Raleigh Brigade and NC Open Pass as they host a virtual Civic Tech Showcase

Building off a spring series of Open Raleigh Brigade bi-weekly meetups, the Civic Tech Showcase will include presentations from RIoT, La French Tech, PublicInput.com, Code for Philly and Penn Medicine and the North Carolina Campaign Finance Dashboard project. Linda Jones, Community Engagement Administrator, City of Raleigh will emcee our event. At the end of the presentations there will be a brief networking time for participants and the presenters. <ul><li>The CHIME App: Community Matters - What is it like to develop a wildly needed open source tool as fast as possible in the middle of a pandemic? How do you make a product that serves both a partner and non-technical stakeholders on a global level? Our speakers will provide an overview of the inception and development of the app which is a collaboration between Code for Philly and Penn Medicine.</li></ul><ul><li>Updates from RIoT and La French Tech - Raleigh</li></ul><ul><li>COVID-19’s Lasting Impact on Digital Government - How COVID 19 accelerated the adoption of virtual engagement approaches, and the long-term shifts that are happening as we navigate the pandemic.</li></ul><ul><li>North Carolina Campaign Finance Dashboard - A lack of easy access to campaign finance data — that any citizen can search, sort and understand — undermines a transparent democracy.
