City of Carson Free HHW and E-Waste Collection Event
Safely dispose of your household hazardous waste (HHW) and electronic waste (e-waste) free of charge!
Los Angeles County and the Sanitation Districts host FREE one-day, drive-through collection events where residents can drop off their HHW and e-waste. CLICK HERE to view upcoming events.
Events are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (unless otherwise noted), rain or shine, and open to all Los Angeles County residents. No appointment is needed.

In addition to these events, all Los Angeles County residents may also use the following permanent collection centers to dispose of HHW and e-waste at no cost:
- City of Los Angeles S.A.F.E. Centers(various locations)
- Antelope Valley Environmental Collection Center(Palmdale)
- EDCO Recycling and Transfer Center(Signal Hill)
Please note that there is a limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of household hazardous waste and/or e-waste per trip. Waste generated from a business will not be accepted.
BUSINESS WASTE
Hazardous and electronic waste generated from businesses is not accepted at County permanent centers or collection events.
If you are a small business with hazardous waste, visit www.businessrecycling.com to locate a proper recycler.
You may qualify for the Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) Program. This service is by appointment only. Please call (310) 387-1071 or email 4HCESQG@cleanharbors.com to book an appointment.
