Circus Mexicus

Originally formed as The Refreshments in 1996, Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers began recording and touring nationally in 1998.  Known for their high energy and lengthy rock shows, the band has toured since its inception and continues to connect audiences with their Southwestern style of rock and community.  They continue to record and tour nationally today.The band penned the theme song forKing of the Hillas well as hit songsBanditosandDown Togetheramong others.Beginning in 2000, the band sought fun and tequila by traveling to Puerto Penasco, Mexico, aka Rocky Point located just 3.5 hours south of Phoenix.  The fun was shared by about 40 people (including the band), but after many annual visits later, that first show spawned a four day music festival called Circus Mexicus now in its 22nd year. A second weekend dubbed January Jam, now in its 13th year is held each year on MLK Weekend.  These weekends galvanize fans of rock n roll from throughout the country and abroad.

Banditos

Beginning Thursday June 10 and finishing Monday evening June 14, amplifiers, guitars and vocals will ring throughout Puerto Penasco. Hosted by Roger Clyne &amp; The Peacemakers in its 21st year, bands from all over the United States and Mexico will join together to celebrate the return of live music and Circus Mexicus.For a complete list of bands, schedule, travel info and how to support Circus Mexicus' charitable efforts in Puerto Penasco, please visit www.circusmexicus.net .The festival will incorporate whatever mandated safety measures are in place in mid-June to ensure a safe environment for all. The evening shows will take place over 14 acres of outdoor space - bring your beach chairs and spread out under the stars. During the day, get out and enjoy smaller shows throughout Penasco and experience all of what Puerto Penasco offers.All shows throughout the 5 days are included with any Circus Mexicus purchased wristband. For those without a wristband, door charges will be in place at select performances. VIP tickets will include admission to 3 different VIP decks - two located backstage and at the sound board and the third at the Banditos outdoor stage for shows all four days at Banditos. VIP areas will include private bars, porta-jons and premium viewing. Chairs are not permitted on the decks but can placed anywhere within the Main Stage area.People 15 years and younger are free with paid adult.People 16-24 years old are eligible for discounted Student tickets.Advance purchase tickets are discounted, some are limited. Event priced tickets begin June 10, 2021 both in person and online.Event is rain or shine. All sales are final. If event has to be cancelled due to COVID-19, tickets will be fully refunded.
