About this event

Circle Up is Initiatives of Change's latest community conversation program that aims to bring together the residents of Richmond, the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas to deepen our shared understandings and engage in meaningful conversations that center justice, peace and community.

The first event in this conversation series will take place Tuesday, September 12, 2023, 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m. and will feature IofC USA partners the Elegba Folklore Society, the Jewish Community Federation, and the Baptist Ministers Conference of Richmond and Vicinities. Together, we will focus on truth-telling, building new relationships, enhancing our quality of life, and healing. The event, which includes dinner, will allow groups of 5-6 people to engage in thoughtful discussions about relevant issues. Our facilitator, Janine Bell of the Elegba Folklore Society, will also be on hand to encourage meaningful dialogue through mutual respect for each other and our different lived experiences.

Don’t miss this opportunity to brighten the community around you and take part in a culture of truth, understanding, and grace. It will be held at Main Richmond Public Library in the Gelman Room, 101 East Franklin Street.
