NASA and the Houston Cinema Arts Society

Come view the 2022 CineSpace finalist and winners in our first ever encore showing.

Space Center Houston

Over the past eight years, CineSpace has been a triumph in giving worldwide creators a shot to develop and bring forward space-based film masterpieces. Films may be of any genre or topic, with a minimum of 10% of the film using NASA imagery. This year’s finalists were chosen from almost 200 submissions from 45 countries. Winning films are selected by Academy Award-nominated director Richard Linklater, of School of Rock, Boyhood, Apollo 10 ½, and many other films.Status of events will be as follows: Doors open at 5:30 PM for the pre-film screening panel including Houston&#x27;s&#x27; very own Mary Magsamen and Stephan Hillerbrand as Former NASA Astronaut Anna Fisher. This panel will run for one hour discussing the Intersection of Art and Science. There will be a short break to give everyone the opportunity to stretch their legs before the films start to play. At 7:00pm the films will begin to play until the end of the show. If you preregister you have the opportunity to receive a Houston Cinema Arts Society tote bag and NASA decals, lapel pins, and current crew posters. We look forward to seeing you!
