Cinderblocks 2022

The Walking Galleryis a group of people who walk into a conference space wearing business jackets or doctor’s lab coats.  That alone is not unusual.  But these jackets are works of art.  Each one shall be painted with the story of a patient or an element of medical advocacy by Regina Holliday or another artist.  These masterpieces will be worn on the backs of government employees, technology gurus, medical professionals, social media activists, CEO’s of companies, artists and many others.  By walking they are spreading awareness of the concept of truly patient centered care.

After a two-year hiatus due to concerns about covid-19, we are hosting a new Cinderblocks in 2022, a patient led medical conference.

Cinderblocks as a patient led medical conference. It is once again hosted in the beautiful mountains of Western Maryland. This event is a coming together of many voices and players within the world of healthcare, and I mean that very literally. Our players include doctors that sing artists that focus on data.I often describe this event as Burning Man meets healthcare. We come into the metaphorical desert of broken system of care. We bring all that we have to the table. We collaborate with others, tearing down silos. Then by burning the past we build a better future.In addition, May 10 is The Walking Gallery founder Regina Holliday's 50th birthday party and that evening there will be a 50's theme party open to the public at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 6872 Lincoln Highway in Buckstown, Pa.
