CIMAFUNK is a cimarrón*, a free being defying classification, a pilgrim in search of new musical miscegenation and the reunion of black music. He believes in nothing but the power of the Groove and the cathartic communion of dancing bodies. A renaissance man, conscious of his roots and musical ancestry, CIMAFUNK’s music looks firmly into the future. Singer, composer and producer CIMAFUNK offers a subtle and bold mix of funk with Cuban music and African rhythms, a life-affirming sound, a UFO in the island's music scene.

--Thalia Hall will require all staff, patrons, and performers to provide proof of full vaccination OR a negative Covid-19 test performed within the previous 72 hours prior to entry beginning on Monday, August 9. Patrons will be asked to show their valid vaccination card or negative test results (photocopy or digital photo is permissible) when they arrive at the door for entry. Additionally, masks will be worn by staff at all times and will be required of all attendees when not eating and drinking regardless of vaccination status. We are applying these requirements to all shows through Oct 31, 2021 and will update the policy as needed or as new guidance requires.It’s been a positively joyful experience to see people return to our beloved concert hall for shows again, and we are committed to doing everything in our power to keep guests, staff, and artists safe during this time.
