This CIHT evening seminar will introduce the technology behind Virgin Hyperloop One's plans to build networks in the US, UAE and India.

Hyperloop is a revolutionary new mode of transportation that moves people and freight quickly, safely, on-demand and direct from origin to destination. Built in a low-pressuretube,pods accelerate gradually via electric propulsion and float above the track using magnetic levitation, gliding at airline speeds due to ultra-low aerodynamic drag.Capable of drastically reducing travel times over mediumdistances, the concept has been "open-sourced" by Elon Musk. Virgin Hyperloop One is the leading hyperloop companytakingit through to realisation, raising over US$ 370 million in capital from investors for research and development and backed by Virgin Group and DP World.Virgin Hyperloop One is the first company in the world to test a full-scale Hyperloop system, integrating components such as vacuum, propulsion, levitation, sled, control systems, tube, and structures. It is progressing studies in the USA, India and the GCC, projecting that a Hyperloop system could reduce the journey times between Dubai and Abu Dhabi to just 12 minutes and Abu Dhabi to Riyadh in just 48 minutes, transforming the spatial economy of the region. This evening seminar will discuss the progress made to date regarding the implemnetation of Hyperloop One in the GCC. Come along and listen to the presentation given by Hyperloops own Harj Dhaliwal and be involved in an open questions and answers session.
