About this Class

This class is for the beginner cookier or for the person who is just curious about what cookie decorating is all about! If you have limited experience with sugar cookies, found yourself frustrated with royal icing, or if you're trying to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you!

We provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a tray to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker gets 4 cookies, 3 icing colors, and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!

This class is on April 30th at 6:30 sharp so we can have enough time to decorate and answer questions along the way. Come by yourself, bring a friend, or bring the whole crew - we have seating for up to 20 people! It's a blast whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!

The class will be held at The Coupe at 314 S Main St Ste 110, Fort Worth, TX 76104.

Things to Bring

Wondering what you need to bring to have a successful time decorating? Well – nothing’s required – but here’s the things we recommend if you’d like to elevate your experience!

  • Bring your glasses! There’s a reference slide deck to help you decorate, but if things get blurry far away, seeing glasses may be a great bet.
  • Bring your phone! I love it when students take pictures throughout class – so bring a phone!
  • Bring a good attitude! Cookies are fun, but they're also challenging! A good attitude makes all the difference.

DIY / Add-On Kits

Order your sugar cookie class kit and take the class home with you to teach a child or friend! These class kits come with everything you'll use in class, and I can email you the class PowerPoint so you can follow our step-by-step instructions from home! Cookie Class DIY Kits are created before your class, and you'll pick them up and take them with you after class.

How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store your icing, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies keep them fresh for a long time, but I recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home. Cookies are heat sealed for freshness – but again, use it in under a week to make sure it tastes the best.

Class Cancelation Policy: Classes may be canceled at the discretion of me, the event host. This rarely happens – but in that extremely rare event that it does, you’ll receive a 100% refund including your Eventbrite fees.

Classes with attendance below 8 people will be canceled. Don’t be sad! You can either get a class credit for a future class (along with my apologies), or a full refund! I’ll let you know if your class has low attendance 7 days before the event is canceled so that you can bring a friend (hint hint) or find other plans for that day.

Weather Policy: Sometimes Mother Nature doesn’t play well with cookie class schedules. In the event of inclement weather, I’ll contact you with options – these may differ depending on the weather event but rest assured – we’ll figure something out!

Frequently asked questions

What will I be doing in this in-person class?

Besides having the most fun ever? We will be going over some cookie facts, decorating techniques and you will be decorating your very own set of cookies that you will take home with you that day. Along with curating the perfect candle!

Can I purchase an additional take-home kit?

Yes! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-do the classes. You can purchase an add-on kit during check-out. Your kit will be available at the end of your class - so don't forget it!

Do I need to know how to bake?

Nope! No baking experience required. We will have the cookies pre-made for you along with the icing already mixed and colored. Have a little decorating experience under your belt… er… apron? Come on too! I can help with questions on icing mixing and dough spread!

What do I need to bring?

Nothing but a smile! Everything will be provided for you including my (rather tasty) sugar cookies. All you need to do is join us and have fun! There is a PowerPoint for reference, so if you wear glasses, we'd encourage you to bring them as well. Oh – and bring your phone – I love photos!

Are there age restrictions on this class?

This class is good for ages 21+ and everyone will need their own ticket!

What will I bring home?

By the end of the class, you will have created a set of gorgeous cookies ready to dry for 24 - 48 hours on your tray. Along with an aromatic candle you can pick up after it has time to cure!

Can I sign up as an individual or a group?

You can sign up either as an individual, with a friend, or with a whole group. The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 20 seats per class, so definitely sign up ASAP!

I signed up for class but can't make it, what do I do?

:( We understand that life happens so that’s why we allow you to cancel up to 30 days before the class. You can always transfer your spot to a friend though (and what a nice friend you are). Any cancelation after the 30 days will be a class credit redeemable for up to 1 month from the credit issue.

Will there be drinks/snacks available for purchase?

Yes, The Coupe has fabulous drinks and light bites!
