Chutes is the music project of Ryan Kemp, a 21-year-old songwriter/producer from Minneapolis. Immersed in fuzzy vocals, catchy guitar riffs, and warm synths, Parachutes music feels like an intimate conversation on a porch with a good friend. In July of 2022, the solo bedroom project was brought to life on stage with a full live band that have since been known in the Minneapolis scene for their energetic and eclectic performances.
GAVIN ST CLAIR TRIO | 8:15 PM
If James Taylor grew up in waist-deep Minnesota winters, learned to surf on Stoney Point, and routinely played guitar around illicit Park Point bonfires, he would be Gavin St. Clair. St. Clair writes evocative, nostalgic love songs that crystalize and shine like frost on a frozen bay window. His 2023 release, Rollin’ it Back, features a collection of sharp, well-played Americana that could fit on a late-period Beach Boys album or an early Justin Vernon record. Performing with a trio that includes Alex Piazza on bass, Owen Mahon on drums, and Alex Nelson on keys.

Sleeping Jesus is a Rock and Roll band started by Nick Elstad in Winona, MN. The now five-piece Minneapolis band, featuring Tyler Steinley, Andy Bauer, Seamus St. Clair, and Dante DeGrazia, just released their new album, Hollywood Smile, which peaked at #22 on the NACC top 200.
