About Class

9:30-11:30 AM in The Workroom at 33 Hawley.

Co-hosted with Northampton Open Media.

In this introductory dance film workshop, students will learn the pre-production basics of composing movement for the camera. The workshop will consist of short exercises designed to build foundational skills in cinematography, specifically camera movement. Students will learn various tools for image design as well as deepen their understanding of dance film. Participants are welcome to bring their cameras, but there will be cameras to work with, so no need to bring anything you don't already have.
