Choosing to Command 

We are the Southwestern Division of the IAFC, THE HEART OF THE UNITED STATES FIRE SERVICE and proud to be a leader among leaders.  Our region of the country represents unique demands due to our geography, community and culture.  From wildfires, to floods, wind and weather related events our region demands a diversity of needs and training.  That's where the Division takes shape to represent the states of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

IAFC- Southwestern Division partnered with Lafayette Fire Department

This intense 2-day command school is being led by Chief Dennis Rubin,  co-instructor with the late Chief Alan Brunacini of the recent traveling series Command Symposium.  This incredible school brings together an excellent panel of instructors and promises to deliver to it's students the very best in Incident Command for the modern firefighter.
