This humorous and entertaining film is the touching story of Chippa who, on his tenth birthday, sets out into night-time Calcutta looking for a father he has never seen. Filled with humor, hope, and curiosity, he encounters a “marvelous realism”  that is evoked in the works of literary giants such as Salman Rushdie.

WHY WE RECOMMEND ADVANCE TICKETING? We recommend buying tickets online in advance as The New People Cinema has fewer seats than our other venues, and some showings will surely sell out. Online tickets ($11/film) are cheaper than at-the-door tickets ($13/film), and passes can only be purchased online!
