About this event

A fully-staged workshop production of a new, original play by Portland writer Desi Van Til, directed by Sean Mewshaw, in their first collaboration since the indie feature film Tumbledown (2015).

Childish tells the story of a tumultuous friendship between two married couples who meet at an adoption support group. Set in Portland in 2019, this two-act, four-character play weaves drama and humor to explore issues of parenthood and fertility, connections across class and race, and the moral quandaries we face when attempting to forge small-scale remedies to societal inequalities.

The production features local actors Sarah Beth Connelly, Rob Cameron, Ian Carlsen, and Seattle-based actor Pepper Binkley.

This play contains adult themes and language.
