This class is available to residents of San Bernardino County onlyIn Person at our classroom with other soon-to-be parents, or online via Zoom.Temperature screenings &amp; physical distancing with masks are required to insure a safe experience.Classes are FREE to you and your partner and include give-a-ways and a free car seat upon completion.Childbirth education is a great way to prepare for labor and birth, with lectures, discussions, and exercises, all led by a trained childbirth instructor.Our goal is to provide you with information to prepare for childbirth, help you make informed decisions, and minimize your fears. You&#x27;ll also learn techniques to help you relax and cope with labor.Our classes cover:<ul><li>The signs of labor</li><li>The normal progress of labor and birth</li><li>Techniques for coping with pain</li><li>How your partner can help you during labor</li><li>When to call your doctor or midwife</li></ul>Our childbirth stems from the research-based curriculum Nurturing Prenatal which addresses current issues faced by mothers expecting a child including the use of prescription drugs, alcohol and tobacco during pregnancy; the relationship between healthy pregnancies and proper nutrition; the effects of stress on the baby; ways to keep a healthy sexual relationship; and issues of body image, weight gain, dieting and infant brain development during pregnancy.
