Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) Training

The new Child and Babysitting Safety (CABS) program from ASHI gives teenagers and young adults everything they need to know for safe and successful babysitting. From getting started with their business, to dealing with parents and children, to key safety, caregiving, and first aid tips, the magazine-format CABS guide and vlogger-style video make learning fun.

Perfect For

Teens and young adults interested in a babysitting business, or who have responsibility for younger family members.

Prerequisites

None, however, CPR/AED and Basic First Aid certification are strongly recommended.

Required for Successful Completion

Written Evaluation- Optional except when required by organizational, local, or state regulation.

Skills Evaluation- Students must perform the required skills competently without assistance.

Successful completion is based on the achievement of the core learning objectives rather than a prescribed instruction time.

The Center for Health Educators and Safety Specialists offers a variety of health promotion and safety-related courses. Our training courses are catered to healthcare providers, safety specialists, lifeguards, personal trainers, school staff, childcare providers, babysitters (11 years old and up), and anyone interested in creating a healthier and safer community. Our center serves Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Virginia. Classes are offered regularly at our designated training location, as well as, off-site locations per request.
