Chiku Awali African Dance Extravaganza

The African Dance Extravaganza is a special event hosted by Chiku Awali African Dance, Arts & Culture, Inc. to celebrate and showcase the rich diversity of African dance styles from various regions and cultures across the continent and from the African diaspora.

Attendees can look forward to mesmerizing performances of traditional dances from West Africa, such as the high-energy movements of the Ghanaian Kpanlogo and the grace and beauty of the dance SouNou. In addition, our BROAD project participants will do Latin, ballet, and modern dances.

Absolutely! The event will feature two workshops where attendees can learn basic African dance and djembe rhythms from experienced instructors. The workshop participants will be featured at the beginning of the show.
