Join us for a Chicken101 workshop in Gatesville (Coryell County), Texas. This workshop is a two-day workshop designed to provide basic information about raising chickens.Workshop sessions will include:<ul><li>Breed Knowledge &amp; Selection</li><li>Predation</li><li>Nutrition (presented by Purina Livestock Production Specialist Bucky Jackson)</li><li>Flock Health</li><li>Hatching Chicks using an Incubator</li><li>Record Keeping</li><li>Facilities</li><li>Managing Layers &amp; Meat Birds</li></ul>Hands On Skills will include:<ul><li>Building a Chicken Coop</li><li>Setting Up an Incubator</li></ul>Workshop cost is $50 which includes breakfast, lunch, and drinks for both days.Please make sure to wear something comfortable (with long pants and closed toe shoes) as we will be outdoors on a working farm. Recommended to bring bug spray, sunscreen, hat, gloves, and sunglasses (eye protection). Please keep an eye on the weather report and dress accordingly.
