Description

Stigler Logo

One of the missions of the Stigler Center is to enrich the public debate on matters related to the interaction between politics and the economy. The media, by gathering and disseminating information on the behavior of different players in the market, plays a crucial part in the effort to create a better, competitive market system.

In order to help shape the next generation of business reporters, the Stigler Center launched the Journalists in Residence Program in spring 2017. The quarter-long program offers a transformative learning experience for up-and-coming journalists from around the world who wish to deepen their understanding of political economy. Applications for spring 2018 will open on August 1, 2017.

Please join us for an informational session about the Journalists in Residence Program, presented by Luigi Zingales, Robert C. McCormack Distinguished Service Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance and Faculty Director of the Stigler Center at University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and Alexandra Fattal, Italy business and finance correspondent at The Economist and 2017 Stigler Center Journalists in Residence fellow.

Registration begins at 11:30am followed by the presentation and a complimentary buffet lunch.
