Do I have to be good at chess?

No! Anyone can wander in and play. All levels are welcome, but people who regularly attend tend to be quite good.

Do I have to bring my own board?

Accepted Answer

Yes, please do! We only have two chess boards at Zing, and we can always count on more than 4 people showing up, so those will get claimed.

Question 3

Do I have to play a timed game?

Accepted Answer

Ask your opponent what they prefer! Timers aren't required, but we prefer people play timed games so that people waiting to join a game aren't waiting for a long time. But we understand that beginners and casual players need more time to strategize.
