Cherry Blossom 5k Fun Run

Friends of the National Arboretum is an independent, non-profit organization established to enhance and support the U.S. National Arboretum in Washington DC.

Friends of the National Arboretum presents an experience of the Arboretum’s cherry blossom trees on a spring morning. Enjoy a brisk 5K course all on paved, uninterrupted paths while appreciating the beauty of the cherry trees. Proceeds from the race will support the Friends of the National Arboretum and Washington Youth Garden. All registrations include a T-shirt.  Registration price goes up to $45 on race day (T-shirts are also limited and not guaranteed the day of).

Runners and walkers welcome as long as they can finish within one hour.

Stroller are welcome.

All participants are required to read and sign a waiver to complete registration.

Water stations will be available along the course, and light refreshments will be provided before the race

Refund policy: You may request a refund up to 7 days before the race.
Weather policy: In the event of light rain the 5K Fun Run will continue as scheduled. If Friends of the National Arboretum cancels the 5K due to inclement weather you will be contacted by email and offered a refund.
