Cherokee County 9-1-1 and Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency

9-1-1 will give a tour of their facility and discuss the importance of their system in the community. They will also give tips to seniors about how to more effectively communicate when interacting with 9-1-1 staff.

You will also get a chance to meet Ruby 9-1-1's favorite staff member.

9-1-1 Instructor: Shane Bonebrake, Director of the Cherokee County E 9-1-1.

Shane has been the Director of E9-1-1 for over two years and has overseen numerous positive changes and improvements in the E9-1-1 system, none more important than the adoption of Ruby.

EMA will cover the different types of storms we have in the county, some history about the storms we've had, and how to prepare for them.

EMA Instructor: Rebecah Green, Deputy Director of Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency

Rebecah has been in Public Safety for almost 19 years. She started her Public Safety career as a firefighter in south Ga, working her way up to Fire Captain. Rebecah relocated to north Ga about 10 years ago where she became a Fire Public Safety Educator, from there she went to Emergency Management Agency in Forsyth County. she has been in EMA for going on 7 Years.
