The Hawai‘i Chapter of the American Advertising Federation in partnership with Chef Vince McCarthy and Hana Kitchens cordially invite to you to an exclusive Chef’s Table & Wine Tasting Experience on Monday, June 17, 2024 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hana Kitchens in Downtown Honolulu.   • 6:00 p.m. - Embark on your gastronomic journey as our Prix Fixe menu unfolds


  • 6:45 p.m. - Indulge in the art of “Talk Story” with Chef McCarthy and Hana Kitchens

For Chef Vince McCarthy, the accurate measure of success lies in the joy his dishes bring to others, a sentiment that continues to fuel his passion for crafting unforgettable culinary experiences.


Hailing from Portland, Oregon, his culinary journey began with childhood days spent alongside his mother in the kitchen. Over two decades of professional cooking, Chef McCarthy has cultivated a signature style that merges classic French techniques with an American twist, all while championing locally sourced ingredients. He embarked on his career at Portland City Grill before finding his stride at Merriman’s Kaua‘i in 2009. There, he swiftly ascended to the role of Sous Chef, eventually claiming the mantle of Executive Chef at Merriman’s Waimea in 2015. In 2018, Chef McCarthy’s culinary prowess led him to Merriman’s Honolulu, where he helmed the kitchen with finesse. Three years later, fueled by an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to bring his creations closer to the community, he ventured out to open Little Sparrow—a German spaetzle stand that graces farmers’ markets of Honolulu.

Hana Kitchens is a culinary incubator with fully certified commercial kitchen rental facilities. With years of experience in the food and beverage industry, they provide a platform for new and expanding food businesses to thrive, with an unwavering commitment to sustainability and local sourcing.
