How much is the parking fee?

Parking within the Downtown Core costs $1 per hour and can be paid by cash, coin, mobile app, or text. Please visit the City of Redding Downtown Parking website.

Do I need to bring any supplies?

All supplies and ingredients are included for the class. We will have lemon water, but you are more than welcome to bring your own beverage of choice.

What will I receive at this class?

Each student will receive food that is prepared for the class including a salad and Italian bread to make a full meal. The student will also receive the written recipes that was prepared for the class.

Will this be a hands-on cooking class?

This class is definitely interactive, not necessarily a traditional hands-on class.

Benvenuti al tavolo della mia cucina! (Welcome to my kitchen table!)

Cucina Povera (also known as the "Poor Kitchen") is the theme of this class. In this class, you’ll learn the Italian culinary style of being resourceful using seasonal and local ingredients. You’ll also learn how to cook with minimal waste! The recipes I’ll teach are my family recipes that were created out of necessity when ingredients were scarce. The dishes are simple yet flavorful and nutritious! This class is a demonstration and you’ll enjoy a meal featuring the recipes used in the class!
